Today our class went on the minibus to St Bedes School. For a while  we have been planning to meet up and work together and today we finally got to meet each other. We had a wonderful afternoon together. We worked in small groups where we got to know each other and drew pictures together. We played a few games of “Colour Corners” which was great fun. We then taught St Bedes children one of our favourite Hadrian School songs, “Sunshine”. It was lovely to see the children having a good go at signing and they picked up the words so quickly that we split all of the children into two groups and sang the song in two parts! We also sang “Shake a Friend’s Hand”

At the end of our time together we gave the children a caterpillar card with £50.00 inside which we raised last year at the Shed Tuck Shop. We are looking forward to their children coming to us soon and we are going to keep up the contact through photographs, drawings and letters.

  1. Our children have said that the day was so lovely and we want to go again.
We looked at the photos and we found it tricky to remember everyones names. If you are looking at this children at St Bedes, can you remember our names?
We would like to play more games with you next time.
